Launch a career in commercial HVAC testing and balancing as a Test and Balance Apprentice Technician. Working under the guidance of a certified TAB technician and the company owner, you will support projects in commercial office buildings and industrial facilities while gaining hands-on experience in HVAC testing, airflow measurement, system balancing, maintenance, and commissioning. This role offers training and a TAB certification pathway for candidates who are dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in the TAB field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with testing and balancing commercial HVAC systems.
• Measure airflow and support system balancing activities.
• Perform maintenance on HVAC units.
• Provide commissioning support for commercial office and industrial facility projects.
• Prepare field reports and communicate jobsite findings.
• Handle tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Report to jobsites by 7:00 a.m. and travel between local sites as needed.
• Support regional day trips and occasional overnight travel.
• Receive hands-on training from a certified TAB technician and company owner.

Required Qualifications

• Desire to pursue a career in the testing and balancing field.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between jobsites.
• Reliable transportation for jobsite travel; personal vehicle use is compensated for travel over 50 miles.
• Reliability and ability to report to jobsites by 7:00 a.m.

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience with commercial HVAC testing and balancing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Safety awareness.

Progression

• Advance through a structured TAB certification pathway.
