GENERAL LAWN CARE

Apply to a dry lawn at a rate of 14.4 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. using a properly calibrated spreader. For best results, mow your lawn at normal height prior to application and delay mowing for 24 hours after application.  Apply evenly using a properly calibrated broadcast or drop spreader.  For best results, apply within a few days after mowing and delay mowing again for a few days after the application.  Performance is improved if application is followed by ½ inch of rainfall or sprinkler irrigation.  Refer to product label on back of bag for complete application instructions and precautions.

Mowing tips: Always use a sharp mower blade to reduce leaf tearing.  Allow grass clipping to remain on the lawn to break down and provide additional nutrients.

People and pets can enjoy the treated area directly after applied.  When applying this product to your lawn, sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street, back onto your lawn.

MI USE RESTRICTION: Do not apply more than 8 lbs./1,000 sq. ft. (max application of 16 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. per year).

NEW LAWNS

NEW LAWNS FROM SEED:  Apply 28.8 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft.  Work the fertilizer into the top 1-2 inches of soil.  Smooth the surface, apply seed (according to label instructions), rake lightly or roll, water moderately.  Keep the treated area soil moist with frequent and light watering until the lawn is well established.  Do not overwater or allow the seedbed to dry out.

NEW LAWNS FROM SOD: Prepare the soil surface by applying at a rate of 28.8 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft. and working the fertilizer into the top 1-2 inches.

TREES

ESTABLISHED: Measure out 5 lbs. of fertilizer per inch of trunk diameter.  Determine the dripline of the tree.  Create holes along the dripline measuring

1” wide x 12” deep, two feet apart.  Pour required amount of fertilizer into holes.
